06/26/2011 - Caprock Cafe Going Smoke Free
The Original Caprock Cafe, the City's first smoking sports grill after a voted smoke ban, is going smoke-free July 5, according to an article in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal.
Due to its status as a bar and grill the 34th street location had been allowed to offer smoking even though it was a restaurant. Non- Smoking dining was offered during the lunch hours, now all ashtrays will be eliminated and the restaurant is going through a renovation process to remove any evidence of the past smoking.
The location at 82nd street and slide continues to be a completely smoke free environment.
