Dia De Los Muertos is a Mexican Celebration. It is a day to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor of those who have passed away. Here is a schedule of events being held in Lubbock.

Buddy Holly Center Dia De Los Muertos Celebration

October 7 to November 13, 2025

The Buddy Holly center will hold the exhibition of artwork.

Also join the center on October 29th for hands on participation of the making of the traditional macaroni skeletons, wax paper candles, sugar skulls, and papel picado. 

It takes place at 1 pm at the Buddy Holly Center, 1801 Crickets Ave. Cost is $7.00

Dia De Los Muertos Workshop

October 26, 2025

Decorate a skull and more.

Trejo Center, 3200 Amherst

Cost is 7.00 and you must register by Oct 21st from 5 to 6 pm

Girl Scout Dia De Los Muertos

Oct 27th 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Hands on activities for participants.

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3111 Erskine

Dia De Los Muertos Procession

October 28th. 6 pm to 9 pm

The Buddy Holly Center participates in a city wide observation of Dia De Los Muertos. Includes the Texas Tech International Cultural Center; Texas Tech school of Art and the Louis Hopkins Underwood Center. Includes Live performances and more.
