Description:

The Buster Duanes are a West Texas group, with members from Austin, Rockwall, Slaton, Lubbock, San Antonio, San Angelo, and Albuquerque, NM. TBDs won't give you one generalized sound, nor do the band members stay on the same instrument throughout their set. There is quite a bit of movement, not only in the songlist, but on stage as well. The Buster Duanes have a wide range of genre's they are putting out in their initial tunes. Everything from Beach Grooves, to Loud Ass Rock, to Progressive Ambience, to Odd Time Latin Tunes, and Vampire Castlevania Dance Parties. I asked the drummer (Chase Francis) what does a Vampire Castlevania Dance Party sound like? Chase replied "If you've ever been to a Vampire Dance Party, you wouldn't need to ask."

The band members come from all corners of the philosophical world. Country boy, vocalist, and lead guitar player Tanner Griggs seems pretty territorial and might just snap your nose off if you're not careful. Soccer player extraordinaire, guitar player, and vocalist Ryan Young is your average nice guy, while getting chased by all the young blonde girls. Heavy lifter, beer drinker, deep thinker, and time keeper Chase Francis acts like Donkey Kong on the skins, although keeping his cool during the quiet times of TBDs set. Ryan Ehrlich who is the "Jack of all Trades" of The Buster Duanes, jumps from Keys, to Guitar, to Bass, and back again. Any instrument Ehrlich gets his hands on, he will play it for you. He also freestyles in his downtime. Jeff Stuart is a quiet, reserved character who works as a Teaching Assistant in the Trombone Department at Texas Tech University. Word around town is, when challenged, Jeff can seriously rip a Boner Solo. Sam Penon is a funny one. Pretty tough to catch Sam being serious, ever, and a small little factoid about Sam, he claims to be one of the biggest Star Wars fans in the Milky Way Galaxy. Finally, to round out the boisterous bunch, Lowell Gabbert provides the back-bone bass that might just loosen up your belt and shake you pants off.
