BUDDY HOLLY CENTER, 1801 Crickets Ave. Ken Davis: The Landscape Through a Musician’s Eyes will be on display in the Fine Arts Gallery. Chorale director and Santa Fe artist, Ken Davis, will exhibit recent selections from his portfolio of landscape paintings of the Southwest as well as scenes from his travels to Europe and South America. The Campo Santo Suite: Art for Eternity will be in the Foyer Gallery. THE CHARLES ADAMS GALLERY, 602 Ave. J will be showcasing the following artists: Maisie Marie Alford, Shannon Cannings, John Chinn, Joe Clifford, Hannah Dean, Carol Flueckiger, Tina Fuentes, B.C. THE CHARLES ADAMS STUDIO PROJECT – CASP Open 6-10pm THE 5TH & J STUDIOS, 1106 5th St. 788-1008 -5 & J Gallery: presents Works by Felice House. House is an accomplished figurative painter who strives, through her portraits of women, to provide a counterpoint to the passive representations found in art historical tradition. Her subjects are beautiful and observable, but they are not consumable. -The Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio: T-Shirts on display and for sale. -The CH Foundation Metals Studio: Examples of student work from the ongoing classes CASP offers to the public. -THE 5&J COURTYARD (area outside of 5&J Studios): Live music by The Goners. Food trucks and adult beverages. -Texas Tech School of Art Satellite Gallery will feature The 2015 TASA One Foot Exhibition features the work of both student and faculty TASA members. This diverse group exhibition of Texas-based artists, art educators, and art students, showcases works no larger 12” x 12” x 12”, but represents a variety of mediums, methods, practices, and subject matter. While varied, the exhibition highlights the aims of this year’s conference and the future of the arts and education within the state.

LHUCA, 511 Ave K.  -The Christine DeVitt Exhibition Hall will feature Glenn Downing exhibition One Way Ride. “A traveling hoot’nanny filled with hijinks and hilarity”. -The Helen Devitt Jones Studio will feature James Watkins exhibit Reflections. “I am influenced by many cultures and people, by my experiences in faraway places, by acute observation of nature and, in some way, by every object that I have ever seen”. -The John Lott Gallery will feature West Texas Watercolor Society Fall Membership Show. The fall membership show calls on all member artists, from novice to professional, to submit their excellent artworks of water media on paper. - Martin McDonald Gallery will feature will feature Solar Powered Painting by Carol Flueckiger and her students as part of the TASA: Texas Association of Schools of Art conference. -The Christine DeVitt Icehouse Gallery will host Beyond Borders, Beyond Measure. An exhibit of photos taken by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center students engaged in service and study abroad.

 LHUCA Warehouse will feature Tautology Collective Exhibition: W.PAèW.TX A group of seven artists all of whom were living and working in Pittsburgh and the Western Pennsylvania region. This exhibition is a survey of their recent work. Artists include Eli Blasko, Eric D. Charlton, Joshua Emery, Brett Herron, Trevor King, Lauren Strahl and Xia Zhang. -LHUCA Plaza will be the site of a live dance performance of Bollywood style dance by Yashvi and Anisha.  762.8606 Gallery hrs Tue-Sat, 11am-5pm, FFAT till 9pm.

MCPHERSON CELLARS 1615 Texas Ave. will host David Sanderson, a nationally and internationally acclaimed landscape photographer. MUSEUM OF TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY, 3301 4th Street (SE corner 4th and Indiana Ave)  Ansel Adams: American Master, Selections from the David H. Arrington Collection This exhibition of 103 works of art surveys a lifetime of creative insight and photographic acumen by American master Ansel Adams (1902-1984). Adams prevails as a premier artist of the 20th century, and his images established a standard for American landscape photography. The exhibition has been curated from the collection of Midland, Texas, resident David H. Arrington.   Interiors: Artists Looking Inside; Recent Acquisitions from the Museum’s Art Collection This selection of paintings, drawings, photographs, and prints offer glimpses of each artist peeking into the interiors of homes, cafes, and daily life. All of the exhibited works are recent additions to the Museum’s art collection and many are part of the Artist, Printmaker/Photographer Research Collection (AP/RC). The exhibition is curated by Peter S Briggs, Helen DeVitt Jones Curator of Art and Michael Glenn. Helenn J. Rumpel: Four Decades of Art This exhibition will feature approximately 60 of Helenn Rumpel’s embroidered works, paintings and ceramics spanning four decades. Rumpel, who died in 2014, was a Santa Febased artist best known for her “creative stitchery.”  Antarctica–Pioneering American Explorations of the Frozen Continent: Exploration and Adventure! This exhibition highlights expeditions into the unknown of Antarctica and Texas Tech University’s own Dr. F. Alton Wade. Learn about the fate of the Snow Cruiser, an innovative research facility on wheels. Discover the preparation it took to explore a dangerous climate that could be 70 degrees below zero.  The Remnant Trust, Inc.: A new partnership between Texas Tech University and The Remnant Trust, Inc. brings a collection of original, first edition and rare early written works to the museum. These works are intended to inspire an elevated public understanding of individual liberty and human dignity through hands-on availability of the world’s great ideas in original form. The Remnant Trust, Inc. will maintain a permanent presence in the museum promoting the ideas of individual liberty and human dignity.
